Episode 18 | In Memory of Pope Shenouda III
November 14 is the anniversary of the enthronement of Pope Shenouda III, of blessed memory. In this episode, H.G. Bishop Anba Suriel recalls some sacred memories of this great modern pope and patriarch of our modern era. Bishop Suriel spent five years at St Bishoy Monastery under the guidance of His Holiness, observing his unique ministry quietly to his flock around the world. It reminds him of the monk that came with two other monks to visit St Antony the Great and did not utter a word. When St Antony asked him why he did not ask any questioned, he responded, It is enough for me to just see you, my father” This is how Bishop Suriel felt on many occasions in the presence of Pope Shenouda III; may his memory be eternal.
